About Virtual Team Success
Thanks for your visit!
I created this blog in early 2010 to record the stories of people I interviewed while researching an article for the QRCA VIEWS magazine . The article focused on how to run and participate in a virtual work team. To gather material and inisghts, I spoke with over a dozen small businesses owners who run their operations completely over the Internet. This blog is a repository for their stories.
Here are some of the topic areas covered in the article and in this blog:
- major challenges of working with people you do not have the chance to meet “in the flesh”
- how to structure communication
- how to make sure everyone receives the same information
- building and maintaining trust and good working relationships
- picking the right people
- building credibility for the group so you can pitch business (projecting a united front)
- how to deliver great service to clients and handle an end-to-end project where much of the work is done virtually
- technology tools that support communication, keeping everyone “on the same page” and up to date on project status
Even though I no longer maintain this blog - many people visit, so I will keep it active. Please leave your comments! I appreciate them and will respond promptly.
